What is the CSRU?

The Community Supported Residential Units (CSRU) program provides medium- to long-term accommodation with 24/7 support for individuals living with severe and persistent mental health challenges.
The service offers shared, homelike accommodation where residents are supported by dedicated staff and structured programs. CSRU focuses on supporting each person’s individual recovery journey, promoting independence, wellbeing, and connection to community.

 

Who is CSRU for?

CSRU is available to people who:

  • Are aged 18 to 65 and have a diagnosed mental health condition requiring ongoing support
  • May be over 65, with access considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Would benefit from recovery-oriented support to achieve personal goals
  • Are willing to actively engage in Ruah’s recovery program

 

How to access CSRU

Complete the referral form and email to [email protected]
Referrals are accepted from:

  • Community Mental Health Clinics
  • A private psychiatrist
  • A general practitioner (GP)

All referrals must be submitted with the consent of the individual seeking placement
