Inspire at Fiona Stanley Hospital
Inspire is the Fiona Stanley Hospital Mental Health Service pilot which provides Lived Experience mental health, alcohol and other drug (AOD) Peer workers as part of a multidisciplinary team to support consumers, carers and families while in the hospital.
Peer workers provide a unique perspective and offer hope to individuals on their recovery journey by showing that recovery is possible. Through shared understanding, Peer workers help people feel supported, connect, grow resilience and enhance wellbeing.
This project is made possible thanks to funding from the Mental Health Commission.
Location and operating hours
The service is based at the Emergency Department and the State Rehabilitation Service at Fiona Stanley Hospital, with Peer support workers visiting patients as required.
Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.
