Professor Braden Hill and Michael Shanahan have been appointed as new Non-Executive Directors to the Ruah Board, adding considerable leadership strength and diversity.
Pro Vice Chancellor (Equity and Indigenous) at Edith Cowan University, Professor Hill is a Wardandi man and head of the Kurongkurl Katitjin Centre for Indigenous Education and Research. He leads the University’s Access Pathways program and the ECU Equity Projects team, which is responsible for strategies to support under-represented student cohorts.
A forensic finance expert, Mr Shanahan is a Partner at McGrathNicol’s Perth office, heading up a special unit that helps organisations prevent, detect, and respond to sensitive and complex forensic matters. This includes fraud and misconduct, fraud risk management, commercial and contractual disputes, bribery, and corruption issues. Mr Shanahan has also worked as an investigator for the Australian Securities and Investment Commission.
