The theme for Mental Health Week 2022 is “Where we live, how we live, what we’ve lived”. It is the time to shine the spotlight on how the body, mind and environment intersect and effect a person’s physical and mental wellbeing.
Physical health has a major impact on mental health – the right foods and adequate hydration enable our mind to function at its best. Movement matters: when our bodies move so do our brains, enhancing mental clarity and improving mood.
At Ruah, we’ve been supporting people maintain good mental health and pursuing the happy, healthy and fulfilling lives they want to live for over 60 years.
We are hosting a number of events during Mental Health Week for our Stronger Ground and Choices clients to come together and feed their bodies, minds and souls. Most importantly, these events are an opportunity to connect with each other and the community. We all know how important social connection is for maintaining a positive outlook.
Ruah clients are invited to join us. Contact your Case Worker for more details.
